HM1 VHF/UHF Go Box with Icom ID-5100
and 30Ah LiFePO4 Battery with Solar Charge Controller
The HM1 VHF/UHF Go Box features an Icom ID-5100A Deluxe, combined with a Bioenno Power 30AH LiFePO4 battery and solar charge controller. While operating where A/C power is available, the radio is powered by the battery and the battery is kept charged via the A/C charger. Should A/C power be lost, the radio will continue to be powered by the battery and the operator can stay on the air. When used in the field, the battery can be charged with a solar panel, allowing the operator to use the radio indefinitely, as long as the sun shines.
This VHF/UHF Go Box is perfect for deployment to shelters, hospitals, EOCs, and other locations where an ARES® communicator is needed. The equipment is securely mounted into a 2U roto molded Gator Case and the operator simply places the unit on the table, removes the covers, plugs in the power supply and antenna, and is on the air, quickly. This allows the operator to focus on communicating for the served agency instead of requiring him or her to spend time managing cables.
